Ping's G440 HL Irons are engineered with distance in mind and are best suited to the golfers who want game-improvement technology with the look of a players-style shape. The High Launch model is specifically made for players with slower swing speeds. Engineered with a lower overall system weight and made with lighter backweights, ultra-light shafts and lighter grips to promote more clubhead speed and ball velocity for high launching, longer carrying shots.
A key contributor to the added distance is the PurFlex cavity badge, redesigned with a 4-piece mould that is more flexible than before. This expands and contracts to support the new thinner face while maintaining the increased ball speed and enhancing the sound and feel. The 4,5 and 6 irons are now 1/8" longer to generate more ball speed and improve launch, creating more consistent gapping within the set.
A shallower face height, shorter blade length and thin top line offers a players-inspired at address that many seek. The high quality, premium performance appearance is complete with a chrome finish on the back of the head and inside the cavity badge.
Fitted as standard with the Ping Alta Quick shafts and the Lamkin UTx Lite grips.

High launch HL build is a new full-set custom option for slower swing speed golfers who don't generate sufficient clubhead speed and ball velocity from traditionally weighted clubs.
PurFlex Cavity Badge:
The 4-piece moulded PurFlex cavity badge is more flexible than previous designs, expanding and contracting to support the thinner face while contributing to more ball speed and enhancing feel and sound.
Distance Driven Design:
The reduced face height and thickness saves 4g per iron which is then placed low and back in the clubhead, producing a lower centre of gravity for increased ball speeds leading to improved distance whilst still ensuring forgiveness.
Players Inspired Look:
The shallower face height, shorter blade length and thin top line have the look of a players iron but deliver the forgiveness and consistency of a game-improvement design.
Improved Set Gapping:
Adding 1/8" in length to the 4, 5 and 6 irons helps golfers create more ball speed to launch their long irons higher, creating more consistent distance gaps.
