Designed For Versatility With Improved Precision
The s259 Wedges build on the success of its predecessor, but with newly refined grind options and loft additions to give players of all abilities improved precision and versatility with a Tour-preferred appearance, feel and sound.
The 8620 carbon steel head is investment-cast to an eye-pleasing shape, each loft and grind are expertly crafted to enhance player confidence. A larger, re-shaped elastomer insert behind the face contributes to the soft and responsive feel.
Wheel-cut grooves are precision-milled to varying dimensions, depending on loft. The 54-to-62-degree options feature more tightly spaced MicroMax grooves. The 46-to-52-degree wedges have a 20-degree sidewall, milled to maximize groove volume for greater control on full shots. In combination with the friction-adding face blast, the s159 wedges deliver the launch and spin control to play score-lowering wedge shots from every distance.
Six differentiated sole grinds (H, B, T, W, E and S) are designed to match your angle of attack and typical turf conditions for improving your performance and versatility on full and partial shots.
Lower-lofted s259 wedges have a lower centre of gravity and a straighter leading edge to offer better gapping and blending into Ping Iron sets. The middle lofts in the s259 family move the centre of gravity further up with a full-length bottom groove which helps with distance control. Higher loft wedges have more visual offset and a smaller hosel, this inspires more confidence into the player when attempting to manipulate the face.
Fitted as standard with the Ping Z-Z115 shafts, and the Dylawedge Lite grip.

H Grind:
A shot-saving option for players with steeper angles of attack who like to manipulate the handle and play with versatility. It performs best in softer conditions. Available in 54°, 56°, 58°, 60°.
B Grind:
For a shallow angle of attack and neutral face delivery. Low-bounce design sits low on the turf on square face shots, providing forgiveness via the sole width to deliver score-lowering performance in firmer conditions. Available in 58°, 60°.
T Grind:
Ping's most versatile option allows players to manipulate the face for shot-making precision around the greens. Now featuring a steeper trail edge than before, allowing the face to sit low on open-face shots. Available in 58°, 60°, 62°.
W Grind:
Maximum forgiveness through the turf. Now available in 50°, 52 ° loft for players with a steep angle of attack in need of a lower-lofted wedge to optimise gapping. Available in 50°, 52 °, 54°, 56°, 58°, 60°.
E Grind:
Reshaped for the s249 family to give it a more familiar look at address while maintaining high performance from the sand and slightly-open-faced shots. Available in 58°, 60°.
S Grind:
Fits a wide variety of conditions and techniques. Designed with ample bounce in the mid-section to play full shots and provides greenside versatility due to heel/trail edge relief. Available in 46°, 46°, 50°, 52°, 54°, 56°, 58°, 60°.
